1.
i will carve tunnels in walls you built. splinter fingers covering my tracks. i will abide the blood moon’s path. not coming back, i’m not coming back. become the word. become the word. become the word forget. you will know. you will know. you will know the names of death. the sun keeps setting like a death wish. your pointed finger is my compass. i won’t worship the fire we set. won’t break bread at the table we left. the road dark, the mountains darker. i’ll no longer pine for it. bury my memory in the blue ridge. i have risen. i was hidden, i was young. nothing could save me, save my own tongue. erase my complacency. i’ve been shaken from the dream.

Quietus 05:20
my quiet is a white sheet strung up for your projections. tell me how i’m feeling, cowering behind my tongue. shadow puppet captive, i stay haunted this way. the dark is no surprise to the phantoms in my brain. the sound does not know what it wants. i know what silence does. i am an empty bed, lovingly made with shame. i know your hungry gaze won’t save me from self-hate. i drew a map of all i’ve missed, years delayed and mutely spent. my feet remain cemented. the route home is endless. the sound does not know what it wants. i know what silence does. how is it that you break what was never complete. locked in this jaw-bone cage, i am never free. i fade from crowded rooms, slip silent into night. like heat lightning, i will never strike.
3.
Stay Alive 03:41
we are all born queer insurgents. forced to fold into a binary that exists to suffocate, to destroy us from within. when we come out, when we fight. when we resist, when we stay alive. we reclaim our birthright. choked by society’s hand. hypnotized, mesmerized. some never wake again. to our comrades who lie dormant: answer the call. undo assimilation. when we come out, when we fight. when we resist, when we stay alive. we reclaim our birthright.
